Zaragoza held on to sixth spot despite a 2-1 defeat at Mallorca, although they are now only just ahead of Getafe with whom they are level on points. The home side were desperately in need of a victory, and Jonas and Maxi both missed chances before the break. But Diego Milito appeared to have put the visitors on the road to victory when he turned in a cross from D'Alessandro early in the second half.

Nunes equalised though just a few minutes later from Ibagaza's free kick, and from then on both sides had chances. Movilla struck the bar with a long shot, and Maxi wasted another chance after being put through. Prats did well to save from Zapater, but with the game approaching the end Jankovic struck home the winner after Ibagaza set him up. An important victory for Gregorio Manzano's side, who move four points clear of the drop zone.
