Celta move out of the relegation spots to the detriment of Athletic Bilbao after drawing 2-2 with Racing Santander, although they will rue the fact that they didn't win after going two up by half time. Baiano opened the scoring from the penalty spot after referee Medina Cantalejo ruled that Oubiña had fouled Colsa, although it appeared to be the other way round. And Bomogo headed the second from Gustavo López's cross following a short corner, his first goal since joining the club this winter.

Bamogo could have got a third before the break, but the visitors got one back soon after the restart when Munitis poked a shot through a crowded goalmouth after Scaloni laid the ball across. Much to the disgust of the home fans Fernando Vázquez took off Bamogo to bring on a half fit defender Lequi, and Portugal reacted by adding a third forward Juanjo.

The new man won his side a penalty a few minutes later after he was brought down by Iriney, and Cristian Alvarez slotted home the spot kick to save a point. Vázquez took off Lequi again later on to introduce Perera, but the damage was already done and the fans showed their displeasure, their side having still only won once at home all season.
