Mallorca moved clear of the drop zone after a 3-1 win over relegation rivals Levante. The Balearic Islanders started the day a point below their rivals, but they could have taken the lead when Arango and Víctor wasted easy chances, and then when Jankovic had a goal disallowed for the positional offside of Víctor. Just two minutes after the restart though they did take the lead, Jankovic getting on the end of a Jonás Gutiérrez cross to head in on the far post.

Three minutes later Víctor made it two, controlling a long cross from Varela before curling a shot wide of Molina. The young striker came close to a third soon afterwards, but then Levante got one back when Kapo beat Moyà with a long shot into the top corner of the net. The Valencia based side hardly caused any problems after that though, and Arango wrapped things up with a spectacular lob from right of the area after picking up a long ball out of defence.
