Levante drew 1-1 with Getafe on Sunday night, a result which left the locals still down in the relegation spots and distanced the visitors a little bit more from the European places. Bernd Schuster's side were still suffering from their midweek cup defeat, and they fell behind early on when Riga scrambled the ball past Pato after Reggi headed on Zé María's corner. Reggi had a shot saved and Kapo missed a couple of chances, and it was not until late in the first half that Getafe finally got going, Güiza in particular having a goal disallowed for offside and seeing another shot saved by Molina.

Ten minutes after the restart though Belenguer equalised after Molina misread a corner, allowing the defender to score into an empty net. Reggi volleyed over the top and Descarga had a goal disallowed for a dubious offside, and Güiza fired another shot over the top at the other end. An over officious referee Delgado Ferreiro produced a red card for reserve keeper Cavallero whilst he was still on the bench, but the final whistle went soon afterwards leaving Levante without a win now in nine matches.
