Deportivo and Osasuna have their minds on other matters at the moment, the former on the Copa del Rey and the latter on the UEFA Cup, and they can be forgiven for a dull display with much changed line ups. The locals were looking for a good result after a heavy defeat midweek against Sevilla coupled with their loss at Celta at the weekend, but Osasuna were the better side in the first half, Cuéllar and Webó both heading just wide and Aouate having to save from Raúl García.

The second half started in the same vein, Aouate keeping out Raúl García soon after the restart. But Depor carved out a couple of chances themselves, Riki going close a couple of times and Arizmendi heading wide. The game appeared to be heading for a scoreless draw though until Lopo beat Ricardo in the last minute after Taborda headed on a free kick, a result which takes a bit of pressure off coach Caparrós.
