Zaragoza lost ground on the teams in the Champions League spots after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Racing Santander. The Cantabrians are chasing the European places themselves after one of their best ever campaigns, and they were lucky not to go ahead in the first half after failing to convert several chances, Colsa, Zigic, Scaloni and Munitis all not able to find the target.

But the home side came back after the break, with Sergio García missing an easy chance and Toño saving well from Diego Milito. Aimar went close a couple of times and Toño saved well from Lafita, and Moratón cleared from Ewerthon late on. But in the end the defences came out on top, and both sides settled for a point.
