Honours were shared in the match between Getafe and Recreativo, but only after Manu Del Moral made it 1-1 from Pablo Hernández's free kick in the fourth minute of injury time. Chances in the first half were few and far between, Pato saving from Sinama-Pongolle and Casquero having a shot blocked by a defender. But things livened up after the break, Pablo Hernández hitting the bar just a few minutes after the restart.

Lizondo Cortés was the protagonist after that though, the referee disallowing what looked like a good goal by Uche and then turning down a penalty appeal after Pato brought down Sinama. Nerves started to fray, and Cotelo was sent off for a push on Sinama which the French striker greatly exaggerated. And with five minutes to go Sinama appeared to have given his side the three points when he beat Pato with a low shot. Manu popped up to save a point though, and Sinama and coach Víctor Muñoz were both shown red cards for protesting by Lizondo.
