Newly promoted Murcia spent Saturday night at the top of the table after drawing 0-0 at Levante. Lucas Alcaraz's side had already won their opening game against Zaragoza, and they were the better of the two on the night. Baiano brought a good save out of Storari early on, and Regueiro also going close before the break. Only a Savio free kick caused only problems for visiting keeper Notario before the interval, and although Abel's second half substitutions improved matters, they were still unable to find a way past a well ordered defence. Iván Alonso and late on Jofre both tried their luck for Murcia in the second half, but in the end both sides were happy to settle for a point.
