Goals: None.

Barcelona could only draw 0-0 with Osasuna later in the evening, their second consecutive away game without goals. With Eto'o injured and Messi carrying a knock, Giovani was given a place in the starting line up. But chances were few and far between, and it was not until late in the first half that Giovani and Deco tested Ricardo, and Portillo wasted a good chance in between.

Javi García brought a good save out of Valdés and Henry shot wide after the restart, and 17 year old Bojan Krkic at least added a bit of spice at the end when he came on for his debut with a couple of good touches which with a bit more luck could have ended in goals.

The result though left Barça in fifth spot, four points behind eternal rivals Real Madrid, and Rijkaard is already under pressure to win the next three games at home to Lyon, Sevilla and Zaragoza, or otherwise face the consequences.
