Racing Santander clocked up their first away win of the season, beating Almería 0-1 to leave the locals without a victory in their Mediterraneo stadium all season.

The first chance fell to the hosts, Negredo firing a spectacular over head kick over the top, but with only six minutes on the clock Garay got on the end of Jordi's corner to driver a low shot past Cobeño.

The keeper saved from Jorge López soon afterwards, but Almería's only real chance came when Felipe Melo had a headed goal disallowed for offside.

Marcelino's team shut up shop after the restart despite losing their two centre backs to injury, and Toño only had a save or two to make from Melo before the final whistle.
