Villarreal drop to third in the table after losing 3-2 at Osasuna. Rossi gave Pellegrini's side a momentary lead after running on to beat Ricardo in the twentieth minute, but just two minutes later Javi Venta put through his own net trying to stop Dady from reaching Juanfran's cross, the first goal that Viera had let in for 391 minutes (a new club record, beating the mark set by Pepe Reina).

With ten minutes to go to the break Dady put the locals ahead, bundling the ball past Viera for his first goal with his new club. But this time it was Villarreal who responded within two minutes, Godin heading Pires's long free kick wide of the keeper.

The chances continued after the break, Viera tipping a Portillo header over the top and Tomasson hitting the crossbar at the other end. But with ten minutes to Javi García unleashed a spectacular shot from outside of the area to restore the lead for the Pamplona based side.

There was a bit of emotion at the end, Josetxo getting sent off for a second bookable offence and Ricardo following him a couple of minutes later after picking up two yellow cards in succession for time wasting, and with all three changes made Puñal had to go in goal. But the game ended seconds later, and Osasuna had the three points in the bag.
