Murcia and Betis cancelled each other out in a 0-0 draw, a result which keeps the locals in mid-table and their opponents three points below them near the foot of the table. The best chances in an otherwise dull match came in the first half, Caffa firing a free kick against the crossbar and Baiano replying with a shot which Ricardo turned on to the post on the stroke of half time.

Peña and Movilla tried their luck with long shots after the restart, and Sobis was unable to beat Carini (forced to play with a broken toe due to an injury to Notario) when free on goal at the other end. And with the game coming to an end Pignol prevented Mark González from scoring a late winner for the visitors. Not a lot for 90 minutes of football, but both at least take away a point for their efforts.
