Deportivo climbed away from the danger zone after beating Murcia 0-2, their first win in four games. Both keepers were in action in the first half, Notario to tip a Guardado header over the bar and Dudu Aouate to keep out Baiano.

Mejía headed over soon after the restart, but soon afterwards Xisco opened the scoring for the Galicians with a run from the halfway line to beat Notario. And a quarter of an hour later it was Guardado who picked up a long clearance from Aouate to run on and score the second.

Mejía almost put through his own net later on, but Depor had done enough for the win which takes some pressure off coach Miguel Angel Lotina.
