Recreativo coach Víctor Muñoz breathed a sigh of relief after his side beat Osasuna 1-0 to move level with the Pamplona based side on points. The Andalusians had not scored a single goal in almost ten hours of football, but a long strike from Carlos Martins with twenty minutes to go was enough to give them the three points.

Recre had had the better of the first half, with Sinama-Pongolle testing Ricardo a couple of times. Sorrentino did have some work to do though as well, in particular from Puñal and Dady either side of half time, and Dady hit the post just seconds before Martins got his goal.

But even though the locals were left with ten men after Gerard was sent off for a late tackle on Izquierdo just ten minutes after coming on, they were not going to throw away their lead. The three points were not quite enough to get them out of the bottom three, but with one point separating no less than seven sides they are close enough.
