Espanyol's recent good form continued, and they are up to fourth after beating Osasuna 1-2. Valdo returned to the Reyno de Navarra stadium to set up Angel for the opening goal on the half hour mark, and then scored the second himself after a jinking run just three minutes later.

Up to that point both sides had had chances, Tamudo having a shot deflected over and Juanfran shooting wide. Other than an effort from Riera though, the second half belonged to the locals, with Dady heading over a couple of times and Carlos Vela having an effort saved soon after the restart.

Vela thought he had got a goal back only to have his strike ruled out for a dubious offside, but a few minutes later Portillo headed in a cross from the young Mexican forward, his first goal since joining Osasuna in the summer. But Kameni and his defence held on after that to extend their unbeaten run to nine games. Next up Barcelona in Montjuic!
