Valencia stay in sixth spot in the table after drawing 0-0 at Osasuna. Ronald Koeman made several changes to his side, with Sunny and Arizmendi making their first appearances under the new coach. But although Ricardo was active early on, he didn't have to make a difficult save until Silva tested him late in the first half.

The home side had not won in the Reyno de Navarro stadium since early October, but Portillo should have given them the lead when he headed an easy chance straight at Cañizares. And Plasil went close a couple of times either side of half time, the first a long shot just wide of the post and the second an effort which deflected off a defender, Cañizares somehow sticking out a foot to keep it out.

Arizmendi fired a deflected shot just wide, and Villa claimed he should have had a penalty when bundled over inside the area. Vela slipped when free in front of goal at the other end, and substitute Dady went close a couple of times late on, in particular finding Cañizares with a shot on the turn. In the end though honours were shared, and both sides came away with a point.
