Moral, Braulio. 4-4-2.
Team changes: Getafe: Ustari, Belenguer, Contra, Braulio for Pato Abbondanzieri, Mario, Licht, Albín / Villarreal: Cani, Nihat, Pires for Cazorla, Mati Fernández, Tomasson.
Villarreal moved back above Espanyol to fourth after a 1-3 win at Getafe, their first victory in four games. Nihat picked up a pass from Pires to open the scoring in the first half, and Ustari (replacing the suspended Abbondanzieri) had to keep out the Turkish striker a couple of times before the break.
Michael Laudrup's side had won their last five home games though, and they came out for the second half like rockets. Pablo Hernández and Casquero had efforts saved by Viera, Manu had a goal disallowed for the positional offside of Braulio, and Braulio himself had another strike deflected away by the visiting keeper.
But with twelve minutes to go Nihat got on the end of a Cazorla cross to score his side's second, and soon afterwards Cazorla himself made it three after Cani's cross was deflected to him. Kepa got one back with five minutes to go after turning in Braulio's cross, and the ex Sevilla and West Ham striker should have scored again when he blasted a penalty kick over the bar after Fuentes had been sent off for a foul on Braulio. But it was too late, and with other results going against them the Madrid based side find themselves once again just a point above the drop zone.
