Neither Deportivo nor Zaragoza have won in the league in over a month, and both will now have to wait another week at least after they cancelled each other out in a 1-1 draw in the Riazor stadium. Diego Milito gave Víctor Fernández's side the lead in the seventeenth minute with an opportunist goal, heading past Munúa after Zapater's shot was deflected.

Rubén Castro had a goal incorrectly disallowed for offside by referee Pérez Burrull soon after the restart, but Coloccini headed the equaliser a few minutes later after the defence could only head Guardado's cross back to him. Depor were left with ten men though when substitute Chapi was sent off for a second bookable offence near the end, and Celades almost won it for the visitors when he hit the post in injury time.
