Betis beat Getafe 3-2 on Sunday evening to move out of the bottom three and move level with their opponents on points. Pavone opened the scoring in the third minute from Xisco's free kick, and Xisco shot over the bar soon afterwards. Ricardo had to save from Albín and Granero, and Granero hit the post with a free kick. But with just over half an hour gone Edu headed a second from Pavone's cross.

Ricardo had to save from Albín and Manu either side of half time as the rain started to fall, and Gavilán and Albín both went close. But once again it was the home side who scored, Pavone's shot bouncing up off Belenguer over the head of Pato. It appeared to be all over, but De la Red converted a penalty two minutes later after the ball hit Somoza on the arm, and Manu got a second soon afterwards after receiving a pass from Braulio. That set up a nail biting finish, but when Granero's free kick bounced just wide of the mark it was all over.
