Racing Santander are going from strength to strength, and they consolidated sixth spot with a 0-2 win at Osasuna. The Cantabrians were lucky not to be behind by the break, Toño making a string of saves from Dady, Colsa, Juanfran and Margairaz before going off injured close to half time.

But after the restart they regrouped, with Tchité and Serrano having shots blocked and Jordi hitting the bar. And they scored two in as many minutes near the end, Colsa heading the first from Jorge López's free kick and new signing Pablo Alvarez getting the second after Cruchaga headed up a long free kick and Tchité headed it on. Osasuna drop into the bottom three after other results went against them, albeit that eight teams are separated by just two points.
