Deportivo La Coruña are deeper in trouble after losing 1-0 to Almería, and Miguel Angel Lotina's side ended the weekend in next to bottom spot, now five points away from safety.

Neither side impressed in a dull first half, the only chances a couple of long shots from Felipe Melo and volley from Guardado which Diego Alves kept out.

The Galicians were the better team after the restart though, Riki hitting the bar after Guardado put him through and Adrián and Juan Rodríguez both heading just wide of the target, with Crusat replying at the other end.

But Almería have become dead ball specialists in recent weeks, and with two minutes to go Pulido poked a shot past Fabricio after Juanito headed on Corona's free kick to take the three points.

It was another disappointment for Depor, and Lotina may well be on his way soon if he can't turn things around very soon.
