Sixth placed Racing Santander have never won at Levante, and once again they were held to a 1-1 draw by the Valencia based club. After their midweek cup success the Cantabrians were in a confident mood, and Colsa fired a free kick over the bar early on. Riga though just failed to turn in a Courtois cross, and Alvaro headed wide following a corner before the break.

Twelve minutes or so into the second half though Levante took the lead, Riga beating Coltorti after Juanma played a Courtois corner across the edge of the area. Coltorti held on to a Riga free kick a few minutes later, but soon afterwards Racing were given a helping hand by referee Paradas Romero, who awarded them a much protested penalty after Duscher fell under a challenge from Descarga, the midfielder converting the kick himself. After that Pedro León fired a free kick wide and Kujovic blocked an effort from Ayoze, but in the end both sides had to settle for a point.
