Almería are proving to be the surprise package of the season, and they are level with Valencia and Sevilla in eighth spot after holding Mallorca to a 0-0 draw in their San Moix stadium. There was a five minute delay to the kick off as Andalusians had to change into Mallorca's second choice shorts after a clash of colours, and for a few minutes there was some action as Bruno cleared a header from Ramis off the line and Corona fired a shot over at the other end. But after that there was little to entertain the crowd up to the half time whistle.

After the break though it was Diego Alves who once again saved the day for the visitors with his fifth clean sheet in a row, the keeper making important stops from Güiza, Jonás and Arango. Ramis headed an Ibagaza free kick over the top, and Crusat had a late penalty appeal turned down for the away side, but in the end both managers decided to call it quits and settle for a point.
