Valladolid and Mallorca shared the points in a 1-1 draw which keeps both sides in mid-table. Mendilibar's side were looking to recover their confidence after their seven goal thrashing by Real Madrid last week, and they got off to a good start. Marcos (equalling the club record of 374 appearances) fired a long shot over the bar, and Moyà did well to tip an effort from Sisi over for a corner. And with seven minutes to go to the break they took the lead after García Calvo hit the post following a corner, Sesma heading back in for Llorente to score from close up.

Güiza was about the only one causing problems at the other end, but he was unable to beat Sergio Asenjo on a couple of occasions after the restart. However with ten minutes to go referee Paradas Romero awarded the visitors a penalty after Alvaro Rubio pulled back Trejo in the area, and Ibagaza stepped up to give his side their eleventh draw of the season. Nunes was sent off for a second bookable offence after that, but even so Mallorca could have snatched a win when Güiza controlled a long ball but shot just wide in front of the advancing Asenjo.
