1-0. 17. Coloccini. Header back across keeper on far post from Sergio corner.
2-0. 23. Lafita. Chested ball over line after Kameni got hand to first shot.

Deportivo stay in the bottom three despite a 2-0 win over an Espanyol who are dropping down the table after a third defeat in a row. Both goals came in the first quarter of the match, Coloccini heading the Galicians into the lead from a Sergio corner, and Lafita running through to score the second soon afterwards.

Before that Lafita and Sergio had both gone close, but the visitors had their chances as well, Moisés heading wide and Ewerthon having a shot saved by Dudu Aouate, who was back in goal for the Galicians for the first time since his bust up with Munúa last year.

Aouate kept out shots from David García and Ewerthon either side of the break, but Filipe and Lafita both had efforts blocked soon afterwards. Aouate saved again from Luis García, but Depor could well have increased their lead had Kameni not made a coupe of top class saves from Bodipo, the second after substitute Valerón had put him through.

A great result for Miguel Angel Lotina though against his old club, and the victory takes some pressure off him for now. With Sevilla, Valencia and Real Madrid coming up next, they need all the points they can get.
