Almería stay in eighth spot despite a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Osasuna. All the goals came in the first half hour, Kike Sola starting things off after picking up a pass from Puñal to round Diego Alves with only six minutes on the clock. Corona equalised with a header from López Rekarte's cross, but Cruchaga restored the lead with another header from Monreal's long free kick on the half hour mark.

Pulido headed wide from Corona's corner just before the break, and Alves saved a Javi García header from another corner after the restart. Ricardo had to be at his best to save a deflected shot from Mané and then tip an effort from Ortíz on to the post, and Mané rattled the crossbar as the visitors pushed forward looking for a draw. But Cuco Ziganda's side held on for a fourth home win in a row, and they move four points clear of the drop zone as a result.
