Getafe moved up into the top half of the table after a 0-3 victory at struggling Murcia. It was a bad start for the home side's new coach Javier Clemente, who took over from Lucas Alcaraz midweek, and his team drop further into the relegation zone after only picking up one point in nine games.
The locals started well, with Rosinei shooting just wide after Baiano set him up early on. And they were unlucky not to go ahead later in the first half when a Regueiro free kick went past everyone into the net, referee Ontanaya López ruling it out for the positional offside of César Arzo.
Ten minutes in to the second half though Pablo Hernández opened the scoring for the visitors with their first real shot on target, a carbon copy of the goal he got in the midweek UEFA Cup victory against Benfica. Murcia threw everything forward, Pato having to be at his best to keep out Rosinei and Goitom. But Albín got a second for Michael Laudrup's side on a quick breakaway, and Casquero added a third near the end to wrap things up.
