Recreativo moved out of the relegation spots to the detriment of Zaragoza after a 0-1 win at Osasuna on Saturday evening. Sinama-Pongolle got the only goal of the game, running on to Quique Alvarez's long clearance to force a shot past Ricardo ten minutes before half time.

Prior to that though the locals had had the better chances, Sorrentino saving from Plasil and Puñal and Miguel Flaño having a goal ruled out by referee Turienzo Alvarez for a dubious offside. Turienzo also turned a blind eye to several hard tackles, in particular from Cruchaga and Flaño.

Osasuna could have equalised with a bit more luck after the restart, Flaño hitting the bar, and Sorrentino making a couple of important saves from half time substitute Dady. But Recre held fast for three vital points which takes them to within a point of their opponents.
