Atlético Madrid stay in fourth place in the table despite a 1-1 draw at Valladolid. Maxi appeared to have given Javier Aguirre's side a narrow win when he fired a shot past Asenjo after Forlán's effort was blocked midway through the second half, but with the game in injury time substitute Ogbeche got on the end of an Oscar Sánchez cross to save a vital point for the hosts.

Valladolid needed points to move away from the danger zone, and they were the better side in the first half. Víctor brought an early save out of Leo Franco, back in the line-up after a four month injury lay-off, and Llorente, Sisi and in particular Sesma all wasted chances before the break. But in the end they were grateful for a draw, which keeps them five points above the bottom three.
