Nobody seems to want the fourth Champions League spot, and for the second week in a row none of the three contenders were able to win. Atlético Madrid did manage a 1-1 draw at Getafe however, and that was enough to keep them two points clear of the challengers.

Albín volleyed home a Cortés cross to give Michael Laudrup's side an early lead, but Agüero held off Belenguer to pick up Luis García's long punt and turn the ball past the advancing Pato Abbondanzieri to equalise before the break.

Pato did well to tip over a shot from Luis García before the half time whistle, and Albín fired a free kick on to the top of the bar soon after the restart.

The best chance of the second half though fell to the locals after Nacho Camacho blocked the ball with his arm in the area. However De la Red's spot kick was saved by Leo Franco, and Getafe now find themselves only four points above the drop zone after six matches in a row without a win.
