2-0. 40. Renato. Ran on to Maresca through ball and rounded keeper to score.

The fourth Champions League place is a three horse race, Sevilla staying within a point of Racing Santander and three of current incumbents Atlético after a 2-0 win over Valladolid. Renato got both the goals before the break, opening the scoring with a header from Capel's cross and getting the second after Maresca put him through.

Llorente went close a couple of times for the visitors and Rubio and Marcos both tested Palop after the restart, but Baraja had to hook an effort from Capel off the line and Luis Fabiano hit the outside of the past late on. The defeat leaves Valladolid a point above Zaragoza and two above Recreativo and Osasuna, who currently occupy the last relegation spot.
