Racing Santander kept up their push for a place in the top four, coming from two down to beat Murcia 3-2. The visitors needed a win to have any chance of survival, and a first goal from youngster Dani Aquino and another from Iván Alonso in the first half hour seemed to set them on their way. And they could have gone further ahead when Aquino and Jofre both failed to convert chances.

De Coz put through his own net before the break though in a race with Munitis to reach Tchité's cross, referee Alvarez Izquierdo awarding the goal to the Racing striker. And just a minute after the restart Jorge López levelled the scores after Duscher turned the ball in to his path. The Cantabrians were back on song, and Munitis got the winner a few minutes later after Jorge López set him up. Murcia ended in disarray after Mejía and Pignol were sent off late on, and the defeat confirms their descent to the second division next season.
