Athletic Bilbao stay three points behind Deportivo in the race for the Intertoto Cup spot after recovering from a goal down to beat Murcia 1-2. The locals are already sure of going down to the second division, but they put up a brave fight and went ahead when Iván Alonso beat Armando after a shot from De Lucas ballooned up off him.

Llorente equalised though on the half hour mark after Aduríz headed across Iraola's long free kick. And although Armando had to be on his toes to keep out De Lucas, Baiano and others, Gabilondo got the winner after Llorente laid across Yeste's free kick.
