Goals: None.

A goalless draw between Getafe and Betis, although it is difficult to see how after both teams created numerous chances. Betis in particular could have had three or four in the first half, Mark González, Pavone, Arzu and Emaná all failing to find the target when free in front of goal. The best chances for the locals fell to Soldado, who brought a couple of saves out of Casto before the break.

Víctor Muñoz was forced to draft in third choice keeper Jacobo after Ustari and Abbondazieri both injured themselves recently playing for Argentina. And he was one of the stars of the match, making first class saves from Pavone, Mark González and in the last minute José Marí. Casquero hit the bar at the other end, but the best chance of the lot fell to the locals, Albín firing a late penalty against the bar after he was brought down by Melli. Action there was, we were just missing the goals!
