Mallorca stay in the bottom three of the table despite a 0-0 draw at Deportivo after the teams around them all picked up points. Visiting keeper Moyà had to make several saves before the break, in particular from Verdú, Aduríz and Omar Bravo, and Guardado headed against the bar with the keeper beaten on the stroke of half time. The visitors responded with an effort from Nunes early on, and a shot from Varela which Aranzubia kept out.

The game changed though when referee Ayza Gámez rather harshly sent off Omar Bravo for a challenge on the keeper early in the second half. Even so Pablo Alvarez shot over the top and Moyà had to save a Guardado free kick, but Martí brought another save out of Aranzubia and Webó headed wide at the other end. Numbers were evened up though when David Navarro was also red carded for a second bookable offence, and after that both sides settled for a point.
