Relief at the San Moix, where Mallorca recorded their first victory of the current campaign against Numancia to move away from the relegation spots. The locals were in control from early on, a dummy and a great burst of speed from Jurado taking him past two defenders and the keeper to open the scoring in the twelfth minute. Aduríz went close soon afterwards, but the visitors could have equalised before the break, Goiria turning the ball past Moyà after Barkero's shot came back off the post only for the strike to be ruled out for offside.

Juan Pablo had to save from Webó immediately after the restart, but the keeper was slow to react five minutes later when the Cameroonian striker headed home Arango's corner for Mallorca's second. Barkero hit the post again soon afterwards and Corrales had to clear an effort from Moreno, but substitute Keita could have added a third late on had Juan Pablo not reacted quickly. A 100th win in the first division for local coach Gregorio Manzano, and Numancia drop below their opponents after a third defeat in a row.
