After a bad start to the season, Málaga are now a surprise seventh after beating Getafe 2-1. The visitors got the better start, Granero testing Arnau before Soldado picked up a long punt from Pato to beat the keeper with a low shot from outside of the area.

Eliseu missed a sitter though and Miguel Angel headed against the post before Baha got ahead of a static defence to head Duda's cross past Pato. And seven minutes later the visiting keeper got caught badly out of position allowing Duda to turn Jesús Gámez's cross in to an empty net.

Adrián had a couple of chances to extend the lead after the break, but substitute Kepa could have saved a point had he been able to beat Arnau in stoppage time. Málaga had their third win in a row though, and they have built up a solid base before taking on the big four.
