Changes at the bottom, where Betis moved off the foot of the table and clear of the relegation spots after beating Mallorca 3-0. Damià opened the scoring after running on to Mehmet's long pass in the first minute, and Juanito should have scored a second a few minutes later. Cléber, Varela and Jurado all tried their luck at the other end, but Pavone had an effort blocked by Navarro before he scored his side's second, turning the ball past Moyà after good work by Damià and Emaná.

Both keepers were in action after the break, Casto saving a Navarro header and Moyà keeping out Damià at point blank range. Keita missed a sitter and Casto saved again from Martí, but Emaná could have increased the lead when he unselfishly tried to find Edu when he was better placed himself. With seven minutes to go though Emaná did get his side's third after Sergio García set him up, sealing a welcome first victory of the season for Paco Chaparro's side.
