Six goals in the Pajaritos stadium, where Numancia found themselves back in the drop zone after a 2-4 defeat by Betis. Del Pino put the locals ahead midway through the first half, turning the ball in to an empty net after Casto had dropped the ball at his feet under challenge from a local forward. But six minutes later Emaná equalised from the penalty spot after Pavone was brought down by Boris.

The turning point came though on the stroke of half time, Juanito jumping unmarked to head in a Fernando Vega free kick, and Mehmet Aurelio catching Juan Pablo unprepared seconds later with a long shot which bounced inside the near post. Barkero pulled one back early in the second half after a good run by Quero, but a second goal from Mehmet Aurelio with a shot from outside of the area put the result beyond doubt.
