Betis are up to the top half of the table after a 3-1 victory over Racing Santander. Sergio García proved to be the star of the match, the Spanish international starting the game at his favourite centre forward position and validating his claim scoring a goal in each half and setting up Emaná for another in between.

The ex Barcelona and Zaragoza forward opened the scoring with just under half an hour gone, latching on to a loose ball after Emaná was tackled and hooking a shot over Toño. And later in the first half he cut past two defenders inside the area to leave the ball on a plate for Emaná.

Casto had little to do in the first half against a Racing side who, curiously, were wearing the Betis third choice strip after referee Ayza Gámez said their own shirts were too similar to their hosts. But the keeper was called upon soon after the restart to save a header from Juanito.

Betis kept control though, and with twenty minutes to go Sergio García intercepted a bad back pass by Sepsi and rounded the keeper to score. Munitis got a late consolation goal near the end with a shot from outside of the area which took a deflection off the back of Melli, but by then it was all over.
