Good news at last for Osasuna, who beat Almería 3-1 to clock up their first league win of the season. The Pamplona based side had only scored three times in the current campaign, and they went behind to an early Negredo penalty after Azpilicueta fouled Pellerano. The visitors were left with ten men though just two minutes later after Guilherme was sent off for a high tackle on Azpilicueta, and Pandiani headed the equaliser from Masoud's cross a few minutes later.

Pandiani had to go off with an injury five minutes before the break, but his replacement Portillo shot just wide, and Diego Alves made a first class save from Masoud before the half time whistle. Portillo drove a shot against the post early in the second half, but with the fans starting to despair, Pellerano deflected Juanfran's cross in to his own net. And with the game in injury time Vadócz connected with Delporte's pass to make it three, the same number of goals they had scored in the previous eleven games! Camacho's boys are finally off the mark, and they move off the bottom of the table to the detriment of Recreativo.
