Six goals in Pamplona on a record weekend in La Liga, the 44 scored in the ten games the highest tally for ten years. Honours were shared though in the Reyno de Navarra stadium, Valladolid coming from three goals down to draw 3-3 against Osasuna.

José Antonio Camacho's side were in need of a win to help them get out of the relegation zone, and Ezquerro and Plasil both went close before Dady headed in Monreal's cross to open the scoring. Debutant keeper Justo Villar did well to tip a Plasil shot over the bar soon afterwards, and Roberto kept out a Pedro León free kick at the other end.

Three minutes before half time Nekounam got on the end of Puñal's free kick to make it two, and a few minutes after the break Dady scored again after Plasil put him through. Ezquerro missed an easy chance to make it four, but almost immediately Goitom ran in ahead of Roberto to turn in Pedro León's cross.

That started the comeback, and five minutes later Miguel Flaño headed a Pedro León free kick into his own net under pressure from Goitom. Dady missed another sitter which would have been his hat-trick, and with five minutes to go Ogbeche powered in a header from another Pedro León free kick to save a point for the visitors. It was a bitter blow for the home side, and with Recreativo winning they find themselves back at the foot of the table.
