Numancia find themselves back within a point of the relegation spots after a 2-0 defeat at Málaga. The Soria based side were never in it in the first forty-five minutes, and the locals had several chances to go ahead. Eliseu and Miguel Angel missed the target however, and Juan Pablo did well to save from Luque and Baha.

Dimas did go close a couple of times after the restart, but Luque should have scored when he shot wide with only the keeper to beat. The game appeared to be heading for a draw though until Málaga were awarded a hotly disputed penalty after Mario fouled Eliseu, referee Delgado Ferreiro waving away claims that the tackle took place outside of the area.

Apoño converted the spot-kick, and with the visitors pushing forward in the final minutes, Baha made sure of victory with a second goal on a rapid counter-attack.
