Curiously only one match this weekend didn't result in a home win, Almería and Racing Santander sharing the points in a 1-1 draw. Tchité fired the first chance over the top, but Crusat was unlucky not to be awarded a penalty after he was pushed by Munitis. With just over half an hour gone Garay opened the scoring for the Cantabrians, beating Diego Alves with a long shot following a short free kick. And Pereira and Tchité should have done better a few minutes later when both broke free, only to be closed down by the local defence.

Crusat came close to equalising soon after the restart, Toño doing well to keep out his shot. And a quarter of an hour later Acasiete did level the scores with an acrobatic volley from the edge of the area after Piatti's cross was only partly cleared. Racing were left with ten men soon afterwards when Lacen picked up a second booking, but even so the visitors came closer to scoring in the final minutes. The result left Almería just three points above the drop zone having not won now for four games, with their opponents still a point above them in the table.
