Back to business for Real Madrid after all the fuss about the midweek resignation of club president Ramón Calderón, Juande Ramos's side coming back from a goal down to beat bottom club Osasuna 3-1. Caretaker president Vicente Boluda saw Higuaín bring a good save out of Roberto before Nekounam headed the visitors into a first half lead from Plasil's cross.

Juande decided to bring on Huntelaar and Van der Vaart at the break, and within a few minutes his side were level after Sergio Ramos fired in a long shot which Roberto spilled in to his own net. And Higuaín turned in Robben's cross to put the locals ahead with just over an hour gone.

Referee Pérez Burrull caused some controversy though when he turned down two strong penalty appeals by Juanfran, the first early on committed by Gago and the second near the end by Pepe. And both times he produced the yellow card for what he considered to be dives, sending the ex Real Madrid winger off with seven minutes to go. Osasuna gave up after that, and Robben took advantage to score a third with an angled shot which Roberto was unable to stop.
