Sevilla are back up to third after a late 0-2 victory against an Espanyol side who find themselves at the foot of the table. Luis García in particular went close two or three times as the Catalans had the better of the first half.

Sevilla came out strongly after the restart however, Kameni having to save from Renato and Fazio, and Capel firing another shot wide after a long run. But Coro missed the easiest of chances after intercepting a clearance from Palop, firing a shot straight at David Prieto with the goal at his mercy and then seeing the defender somehow head clear his follow up whilst lying on the ground.

Just three minutes later however things swung the visitors' way when Lola was sent off for a second bookable offence. And Kanouté took advantage to score twice late on, connecting with two crosses from Jesús Navas to leave win the match and leave Pochettino's side without a win since the first week of November.
