Mallorca picked up a vital win against direct relegation rivals Numancia, a result which takes them a point above the Soria based side in the table. The visitors went close a couple of times before Aduríz got on the end of Arango's cross to open the scoring. And local keeper Juan Pablo had to be at his best to save from arango before the break.

The locals fought back after the restart though, with Aranda shooting against the post and Del Pino heading against the bar. Aranda brought a late save out of Aouate, but the visitors held on to hand their opponents their fifth defeat in a row. The result signalled the end for coach Sergio Kresic, who was replaced by technical director Pacheta the following day.
