The match between regional rivals Recreativo and Almería ended 1-1, a result which leaves both sides down in the lower reaches of the table. Hugo Sánchez's side played three-quarters of the match with ten men after Crusat was sent off for what was a rather mild a kick at Morris, and after that they did their best to waste time and hold on to a point.

Camuñas headed the locals in front on the hour mark from Akalé's cross, and Negredo levelled the scores from the penalty spot late on after referee Rodríguez Santiago ruled that Piatti had been fouled, even though the striker appeared to handle the ball in the build up. The locals could have won it though had Marcos rubén not fired an easy chance over the bar late on.
