Getafe and Athletic Bilbao ended the weekend in mid-table after a 1-1 draw. Soldado headed the home side in to the lead on the quarter hour mark, Ayza Gámez ignoring a previous foul by Cata Diaz on Javi Martínez. And a few minutes later the referee awarded a dubious penalty to the visitors for what he considered to be a foul by Mario on Llorente, Jacobo saving Iraola's spot kick. Llorente did equalised shortly before half time though after Ion Vélez chested a pass from Orbaiz in to his path, and the Spanish international striker missed the easiest of chances to win it after the restart.
