Mallorca stay down in the bottom three, although they are level with Osasuna after a late 1-0 win over Racing Santander. Both sides had chances throughout, with Toño saving from Jurado, Aduríz and Arango early on and Jonathan Pereira and Garay going close at the other end before the break.

The visitors were left with ten men when Garay was sent off for a foul on Aduríz just outside of the area five minutes in to the second half. But they held on until two minutes from the end, when the locals were awarded a penalty for a foul by Toni Moral on Castro. Toño saved Jurado's spot kick, but the midfielder scored on the follow up to take three vital points for his side.
